The Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association is a voluntary, non profit organization that has been established to coordinate a program of worthwhile athletic activities for the young people of Alberta in an educational setting. The membership, currently 373 high schools, ultimately determines the policy of the Association through representation on the provincial Board of Governors.
In order to provide a competitive balance, member schools are placed into classifications for all major sports based on the schools' enrollments. Divisions and the tier classification systems are not equivalent. Exact sizes are:

Football Alberta is the Provincial Sport Governing the Non-
The Mission of Football Alberta is to develop, promote, coordinate, regulate and foster the growth of all aspects of amateur football in Alberta.
Their aim is to establish an administrative structure which will provide programs and services to accomplish this stated objective and mission.
Football Alberta oversees the Provincial Championship playoffs. League championships are designated by the
Tier which the champion of that game will go to Football Alberta Provincials.
Which Tier a team is assigned to is determined by the student population of that team’s school.
